CITY FOLKS was an idea that was brought to us by Kobe who was seeking an outlet to express his own art and the art of his colleagues. From the artist selection process to content, and layout, Kobe's keen vision to bring art into the hands of LEVEL-UP! MAGAZINE fans and artists alike became a reality in March 2015.
This fine arts edition is yet another representation of how art can create wonder and conversation all at once.
Chicago, Il - Elephant Room is excited to present “Let Her Be Elevated,” a pop-up exhibition of new works by Chicago-based artist Andy Bellomo that will feature etched and hand-cut glassworks. Bellomo’s abstract multi-media stained glass collages are at once monumental and intimate, capturing the individual personalities and energies of nine Chicago burlesque performers. This show will tell a visual story about the unique and significant impact of burlesque on performers, audience members, and students in the realms of self-confidence and body acceptance.
Chicago, Il - Jaime Foster will be exhibiting her new abstract series entitled, “Biophilia” at Elephant Room Gallery May 29th through July 3rd, 2015. The exhibition will open with a reception on Friday, May 29th from 6:30 to 9:30pm. Elephant Room is located at 704 S Wabash Ave. in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago.
